1. Vastaa Suomen Kiipeilyliiton tekemään kyselyyn, vastausten avulla kehitämme Suomen Kiipeilyliiton toimintaa monipuolisesti. 2. Kalliot ja kivet sulavat kovaa vauhtia, seura vuokraa pädejä (yhteensä 5 kpl) ja kypäriä ja trädivarmistus-välineitä seuralaisille. Hinnat ovat 10 € per varuste (tai setti) per käyttövuorokausi. Myös draikkavarusteita voi vuokrata seuran tornille tai tornivuorolle läpi kesän. Hinta tornivuorolle on 5 € per pari tai kpl ja jos ei ole tornivuoroa, hinta on 10 € per kpl tai pari. Laita ajoissa sähköpostia varusteet@oulunkiipeilyseura.fi varusteita voi vuokrata vain seuran jäsenet.
3. Jääkiipeily on tornilta loppunut tällä kaudella, draikkakiipeily ja vuorot jatkuvat läpi kesän. Draikkaamaan mennessä, olettehan varovaisia, jäätä voi tippua ja käytätte kypärää koko ajan alueella ollessa.

Tulevat tapahtumat:
OKS päivä 26.3. Päivän ajan mukavia tapahtumia ja luentoja kiipeilyyn liittyen OKK tiloissa ja jäätornilla. (mainos liitteenä).
OKS t-paitojen ja huppareiden myynti alkaa 26.3. Myymme ensin pienen varaston tyhjäksi ja sen jälkeen tilataan lisää tarpeen mukaan. Huppareiden hinta on 60 € ja t-paidat maksavat 25 €. Voit sovittaa itsellesi sopivan koon OKK aulan vitriinin paidoista (laitathan paidat siististi takaisin) ja sen jälkeen voit tilata paidan varusteet@oulunkiipeilyseura.fi
26.4 18.00 Kevätkokous OKK:lla saunatiloissa ja sitä ennen kiipeily- ja ulkoiluvälinekirppis 16.30-17.30. Tule paikalle myymään vanhat varusteesi ja vaatteesi (emme suosittele kuitenkaan turvallisuusvälineiden myyntiä käytettynä). Kokouksen jälkeen sauna lämpenee.

11.6 Boulder SM-kilpailut Oulun Kiipeilykeskus ja Oulun Kiipeilyseura järjestävät yhdessä. Tuomareita ja kisojen järjestelijöitä tarvitaan. Kaikille kisaamisesta kiinnostuneille suosittelemme kilpailuihin osallistumista.

6.Heidin (seuratoiminnanohjaajan) terveiset: Mulla on nyt puoli vuotta töitä takana, kiitos kaikille seuralaisille aktiivisesta toiminnasta. Järjestän mielelläni tapahtumia ja toimintaa teidän kanssanne ja teille. Vaikka iso osa ajasta meneekin junnutoiminnan pyörittämiseen, on kiva nähdä ja jutella aktiivisten seuralaisten kanssa. OKS-91 on isompi ja vahvempi kuin koskaan, tehdään siitä vieläkin aktiivisempi yhdessä. Olen valtavan kiitollinen kaikille aktiivisille junnuohjaajille ja hallituksen jäsenille joiden kanssa yhdessä saan tehdä töitä. Puoli vuotta on ollut hyvin työntäyteistä ja työpäiväni täyttyvät junnujuttujen lisäksi tiedottamisesta, kursseista, erilaisista ryhmistä, jäsenrekisteristä, laskujen tekemisestä, varustehommista ja lisäksi olen nuorisovaliokunnan puheenjohtaja eli olen mukana kehittämässä myös koko Suomen junnukiipeilyä. Kehitetään eteenpäin oululaista kiipeilyä ja loistavaa yhteishenkeä.

2. The rocks and boulders are melting at a rapid pace, the club rents pads (5 in total) and helmets and safety equipment for trad climbing. Prices are 10 € per equipment (or set) per day of use. Drytooling equipment can also be rented for the club tower or tower shift throughout the summer. The price for a rental in tower shift is 5 € per pair or pieces and if there is no tower shift, the price is 10 € per piece or pair. Send a timely email to varusteet@oulunkiipeilyseura.fi equipment can only be rented by members of the club.
3. Ice climbing is out of the tower this season, and drytooling shifts continue throughout the summer. Just now, be careful, the huge ice may fell and you need to wear a helmet all the time in the area. Avoid walking near ice.

5 Upcoming events:
OKS day 26.3. During the day, nice events and lectures related to climbing in the OKK and ice tower. Programms are mainly in finnish: In OKK 13-14 climbing injurys lecture, 12.30 and 15.00 short introduction to fears and excitement in climbing, 12-17 technique tips and falling practices in boulder and ropes. Pay entrance fee and all programs are for free. At the tower: 10-15.00 drytooling, technique teaching. Come and try, drytooling equipments are there for trying. For OKS members, it is for free, for others drytooling costs 5 € (ad attached).
Sales of OKS t-shirts and hoodies will start on March 26. We will first sell out a small warehouse and then order more as needed. The price of the hoodies is 60 € and the t-shirts cost 25 €. You can fit a suitable size from the shirts in the OKK lobby showcase (please put the shirts neatly back) and then you can order the shirt from the varusteet@oulunkiipeilyseura.fi
26.4 18.00 official spring meeting at OKK in the sauna facilities and before that climbing and outdoor equipment flea 16.30-17.30. Come and sell your old equipment and clothing (however, we do not recommend selling used safety equipment). After the meeting, the sauna heats up.
30.4 Youth Boulder Championships Väki Rovaniemi.
11.6 The Boulder Finnish Championships are co-organized by the Oulu Climbing Center and the Oulu Climbing Association. Judges and race organizers are needed. For anyone interested in competing, we recommend participating in the competitions.

6. Greetings from Heidi (the OKS worker): I now have half a year behind me working for OKS, thanks to all the active work. I am happy to organize events and activities with you and for you. Although a lot of the time is spent running kids and younsters climbing, it’s nice to see and chat with all of you. The OKS-91 is bigger and stronger than ever, making it even more active together. I am hugely grateful to all the active junior instructors and board members I can work with. Half a year has been very busy and my working days are filled not only with kids and youngsters clubs, information, courses, various groups, membership registers, making invoices, equipment rental and also I am the chairman of the youth committee of finnish climbing assosiation, in that way I am also involved in developing junior climbing in whole Finland. Let’s develop together Oulu’s climbing and great team spirit.
