1. Huomenna tiistaina 12.9 kiipeilykenkäkirppis 18.30-19.15 Kiipeilykeskuksen tiloissa. Voit tulla myymään omat vanhat kenkäsi/junnujen kengät ja ostamaan kenkiä, etenkin junnujen kengissä on kysyntää. Voit myös lahjoittaa vanhat kenkäsi seuran myytäväksi, tuomalla ne Kiipeilykeskuksen aulan vitriiniin ennen kirpparin alkamista.
2. Huomenna tiistaina 12.9 avautuu kenkäpohjausboxi, jonne sinulla on mahdollista tuoda omat kuluneet kiipeilykenkäsi ja ne lähetetään pohjattavaksi. Pohjauspaikkana ShoeDoctorin pohjausyritys, joka pohjaa esimerkiksi kiipeilykenkiä, vuorikenkiä sekä lähiskenkiä. Eli mikäli sinulla on myös vuorikengät, jotka ovat uutta pohjausta vailla saadaan nekin pohjattua. Lisää infoa täältä: https://shoedoctor.eu/en/. Lähetyksen maksimimäärä on 30 paria kenkiä joten aluksi rajoituksena 1 pari / hlö. Pyrimme lähettämään boxeja nyt aktiivisemmin noin 2-3kk. Seura kustantaa suurimman osan lähetyksestä tulevista postikuluista, mutta pohjauksen hinta on omakustanteinen. Jokaiseen pohjaukseen lisätään 2 € postikuluja per pari, jotta pystymme hieman kattamaan postikuluja ja lähettämään boxeja tiheämpään tahtiin. Pohjauksen hinnan saa tietää kun kengät ovat saapuneet sillä se riippuu kenkiin tehdystä huollosta. Pohjauksen hinta: Kenkiin tehtävä kunnostus + 2e postikulut. Suosittelemme kirjoittamaan oma nimi tussilla molempiin kenkiin, se helpottaa kenkien luovutusta. Ohjeet pohjausboxin käyttöön: 1. Kiinnitä kiipeilykenkäsi yhteen nippusiteellä 2. Yliviivaa numerolistasta seuraava vapaa numero ja kirjoita numero kumpaankin kenkääsi maalarinteipillä 3. Avaa ’’Kenkäpohjaus’’ Forms QR-koodin avulla ja täytä tarvittavat tiedot 4. Kengät lähetetään pohjattavaksi 5. Ilmoitamme sähköpostitse ja sosiaalisessa mediassa, kun kengät ovat valmiit noudettavaksi

5 Tule mukaan seuran köysikiipeily-syysretkelle lähikalliollemme Hampusvaaraan 30.9.-1.10 la-su tai yhdeksi päiväksi. Retki on tarkoitettu omatoimisesti varmistuksen hallitseville seuran jäsenille, ei ikärajaa. Tarvittaessa laitamme seuran köydet muutamalle reitille yläköysiksi. Retki on ilmainen mutta liity whatsappiryhmään, jossa sovitaan yhteiskyydit, tarvittavat yläköydet ja tarkastetaan säätila. https://chat.whatsapp.com/Fe4V6Qmju0sD5U6zIhH0Gx Retkellä on säävaraus, mutta Hampusvaara kuivuu nopeasti sateen jälkeen. Vaaran laella on kiva nuotiopaikka ja laavu, ja siellä voi telttailla vaellusteltoilla. Huom, Seuralla on yksi vaellusteltta jäsenten käytössä, kysy varustevastaavalta.Hampusvaaraan on Oulusta noin 1,5 tunnin ajo ja noin minuutin kävely parkkipaikalta reittien juureen. Sunnuntaina retken yhteydessä klo 11-15 järjestetään junnuille ohjattu kiipeilytys, johon tulee ilmoittautua erikseen. Tarkemmat tiedot, ilmoittautumisohjeet yms junnupostissa.
6. Suomen Kiipeilyliitto on julkaissut jäsenkyselyn. Kaikki kiipeilijät jäsen statuksesta riippumatta voivat vastata kyselyyn, toivomme paljon vastauksia myös Oulusta. Ensi vuodelle todennäköisesti kiipeilyvakuutuksen hinta nousee (tänä vuonna maksu ollut 44 € per hlö) ja samoin kiipeilyliiton jäsenmaksu nousee (tänä vuonna 20 € per hlö). Kyselyssä muun muassa voit antaa mielipiteesi että mistä osiosta voitaisiin säästää liitossa, jotta liiton jäsenmaksu nousisi mahdollisimman vähän. 7. Kiipeilyseuran syyskokous pidetään 14.11 Oulun Kiipeilykeskuksella. Kokeilemme ensimmäistä kertaa osallistavaa budjetointia: jokainen seuran jäsen saa tehdä yhden ehdoituksen, mihin kiipeilyseura käyttää 500 € vuoden 2024 aikana. Hallitus valitsee ehdotuksista korkeintaan 10, joista kaikki jäsenet pääsevät äänestämään syyskokouksessa. Eli keksi ehdotus 30.9 mennessä ja lähdetä se sähköpostilla heidi@oulunkiipeilyseura.fi. Ehdotuksen pitäisi sisältää arvioitu budjetti ja summa saa olla myös pienempi kuin 500 € (jolloin useampi ehdotus voidaan toteuttaa).
8. Finice 2024 kilpailut tulevat jälleen. Kalenteriin voit jo laittaa päivän talteen 4.2.2024. Kilpailun johtajana on Lassi Himanka, ilmoittaudu suunnittelutiimiin jo nyt: lassi.himanka@gmail.com
9. Rakkaalla lapsella on monta nimeä, mutta selvyyden vuoksi tornia kutsutaan tästä lähtien kiipeilytorniksi, tarkoitus edistää jatkossa myös kesäkiipeilyä. Siellä saa nyt jäsenet kiipeillä milloin vain 5 € maksulla, muille kuin seuran jäsenille maksu on 15 €. Kausari on 100 € ja jäsenille myynnissä nyt myös kisakausari (tukemaan reenejä kisoja varten) 50 €, eli se on voimassa nyt syyskuusta Finice kisoihin asti. Seuran jäsenille on kaksi ilmaista viikkovuoroa, niissäkin pitää kuitenkin osata tornin käyttö (eli ei ohjaajia/valvojia paikalla).

1. Tomorrow, Tuesday 12 September, climbing shoe flea market 18:30-19:15 at the Climbing Center. You can come and sell your own old shoes/kids shoes and buy shoes, especially kids shoes are in demand (sizes variety 32-45). You can also donate your old shoes for the club to sell, by bringing them to the display case in the lobby of the Climbing Center before Tuesday 18.30.
2. Tomorrow, Tuesday 12.9, a shoe resoling box will open, where you can bring your worn climbing shoes and they will be sent to be resoled. ShoeDoctor’s insole company, which insoles e.g. climbing shoes, mountain shoes and casual shoes, is the place to be. If you also have ice climbing/mountain boots that do not have new soles, they can also be soled. More info here: https://shoedoctor.eu/en/. The maximum number of shipments is 30 pairs of shoes, so initially the limit is 1 pair per person. We are now trying to send boxes more actively every 2-3 months. The club pays for most of the postage costs from the shipment, but the price of the base is at its own expense. 2 € postage per pair is added to each shoes, so that we can somewhat cover the postage costs and send the boxes more frequently. You will find out the price of the repair when the shoes have arrived, as it depends on the maintenance done on the shoes. The price of the resoling: Price of resoling + 2e shipping cost. We recommend writing your name with a marker on both shoes, it makes handing over the shoes easier. Instructions for using the insole box: 1. Fasten your climbing shoes together with a zip tie 2. Cross out the next free number from the number list and write the number on both of your shoes with masking tape 3. Open the ”Kenkäpohjaus” Forms using the QR code and fill in the necessary information 4. The shoes will be sent for resoled 5. We will notify you by email and on social media when the shoes are ready for pick up.

5 Come along to the club’s fall rope-climbing trip to our nearby rock in Hampusvaara, September 30-110, Sat-Sun or for one day. The trip is intended for members of the club who manage the verification on their own, there is no age limit. If necessary, we put the club’s ropes on a few routes as upper ropes. At the top of Hampusvaara there is a nice campfire place and a shelter, and you can camp there with hiking tents. Note, the club has one hiking tent for members’ use, ask the equipment manager varusteet@oulunkiipeilyseura.fi. Hampusvaara is about a 1.5 hour drive from Oulu and about a minute’s walk from the parking lot to the foot of the trails. On Sunday, in connection with the trip, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., a guided climbing session will be organized for skiers, for which you must register separately. 6. The Finnish Climbing Association has published a member survey. All climbers, regardless of member status, can answer the survey, we hope for a lot of answers from Oulu as well. For next year, the price of climbing insurance will probably increase (this year the fee was €44 per person) and the membership fee of the climbing association will also increase (this year €20 per person). In the survey, among other things, you can give your opinion on which section could be saved in the association, so that the membership fee of the association would increase as little as possible. 7. The fall meeting of the climbing club will be held on November 14 at the Oulu Climbing Center. We are experimenting with participatory budgeting for the first time: each member of the club can make one suggestion for what the climbing club will spend €500 on during the year 2024. The board chooses a maximum of 10 of the proposals, which all members get to vote on at the autumn meeting. In other words, come up with a proposal by September 30 and send it by email to heidi@oulunkiipeilyseura.fi The proposal should include the estimated budget and the amount may also be less than €500 (in which case several proposals can be implemented).

9. The dear child has many names, but for the sake of clarity, the clubs tower will be called the Climbing tower, Kiipeilytorni, from now on, the purpose is to promote summer climbing in the future as well. Members can now climb there at any time for a fee of €5, for non-club members the fee is €15. Season ticket is €100, and for members now also a competition season ticket (to support the training for the races) is on sale for €50, which means it is valid from now until the Finice Games in September. There are two free weekly shifts for members of the club, even in those, however, you have to know how to use the tower (i.e. no instructors/supervisors on site).
